In 1999 I moved back to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada where I was initially introduced to weaving. Weaving has become my passion and I have dedicated much of my time to perfecting the techniques involved in block weaving.
The only materials I work with are wool for the weft and linen for the warp.
I enjoy watching my creations of fiber, colour and design move along on the loom and look forward to the moment of "truth" when the finished weaving is cut off the loom and I view it in its entirety for the first time.
My weavings have been entered in various juried art shows and many pieces have been shown in different galleries, including the Assunta Fox Gallery in California. After receiving a commissioned work a couple in Chicago wrote: "As art, your weaving stands the test - it is continuously interesting the more we live with it."
All my weavings make a striking statement on the wall and, in addition, some weavings function very well on the floor.
